Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Lead Engineer to provide field engineering leadership on LNG plant projects along the US Gulf Coast. You will oversee work planning, material management, quantity validation, safety and quality control, and coordinate system turnover and subcontracts.

The role requires 10–13 years of relevant construction experience, electrical design knowledge, and strong teamwork. Travel and mobility across project sites are expected with a safety-first approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or international equivalent.
• 10–13 years of relevant experience or 14–17 years total.
• Experience in construction and technical inspection of electrical/design.
• Knowledge of high voltage equipment and DCS systems.
• Commitment to Environment, Safety and Health (ES&H) and Zero Accident program.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineer role coordinating disciplines or Project Field Engineer for area operations.
• Manage field planning, packaging, and material management.
• Validate quantities and ensure safety and quality compliance.
• Coordinate system turnover and interfaces with startup and subcontractors.
• Review inspection plans and subcontractor submittals.
