Job summary

ChargeTronix designs and builds modular DC fast chargers for field servicing. As a Senior (Tier III) technician, you will own uptime in your territory, commission new sites, mentor Tier I/II techs, and turn repeat faults into field bulletins.

You will work independently with minimal supervision and regularly interact with customers, site hosts, and engineers to improve reliability and service quality. This role requires heavy travel and a home base in Southern California.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on electrical or electromechanical field service experience
• 3+ years on EV charging equipment
• At least 2 years on DC fast chargers (50 kW+)
• Component-level repair experience and fault analysis
• Ability to read PLC/CAN/OCPP logs and interpret them

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair DC fast-charger faults at component level
• Commission new sites and sign off readiness to charge
• Mentor Tier I/II technicians in the territory
• Own uptime, MTTR, and first-time-fix rate for your sites
• Train and maintain SOPs and field guides
• Primary on-site contact for customers and site hosts
• Provide remote support to junior technicians
• Maintain vehicle and spare parts inventory and report data to engineering
