Job summary
Insight is seeking a Senior Field Architect to lead the technical relationship for opportunities, translating business needs into comprehensive data center and cloud solutions. You will collaborate with Solutions Architects and SMEs to craft proposals, define designs, and guide multi-disciplinary teams through complex pursuits.
The role requires 8+ years in technical architecture, 4+ years in pre-sales, and strong communication with senior stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant program or equivalent work experience.
- 8+ years in technical architecture roles.
- 4+ years in pre-sales roles.
- Industry or vendor certifications in four+ Insight practice areas.
- Broad knowledge of data center tech (Compute, Storage, Data Protection, Networking).
- Strong cloud knowledge (Azure, AWS, OpenStack) and related IaaS/PaaS/SaaS.
- Ability to model financial/business impact.
- Translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Owns overall technical relationship with opportunities.
- Develops proposals addressing complex opportunities with SMEs.
- Identifies customer requirements for opportunities.
- Participates in internal sales meetings as technical representative.
- Participates in SOW development with Architects/SMEs.
- Maintains weekly time reports on pre-sales, billable, and initiatives.
- Tracks opportunities and reports revenue and gross profit to leadership.
- Leads high-level designs across multiple practice areas.
