Job summary

Insight is seeking a Senior Field Architect to lead technical pre‑sales efforts and shape complex data center and cloud solutions for enterprise clients. You will translate business needs into scalable architectures, collaborating with vendors, architects, and executives to drive value.

You will build high‑level designs, guide proposals, and manage relationships with senior decision‑makers while leading cross‑functional teams across Insight's practice areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent documented work experience.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Strong presentation and written/verbal communication skills.
• Experience in pre-sales, proposals, and multi-discipline solutions.
• Deep knowledge of data center tech and major cloud offerings.
• Vendor certifications across multiple Insight practice areas.
• Ability to build relationships with senior client management.
• Lead cross-functional matrix teams to solve complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Owns overall technical relationship with assigned opportunities.
• Develops proposals with input from architects and SMEs.
• Identifies customer business and technical requirements.
• Participates in internal sales meetings as a technical representative.
• Contributes to SOW development with SMEs and regional leaders.
• Owns technical aspects and increases share of wallet.
• Develops high‑level designs for multi‑practice solutions.
• Validates RFP strategy and coordinates responses.
• Maintains vendor certifications to meet Insight goals.
• Reports weekly on time, billable work, and initiatives.
• Tracks opportunity revenue and regional performance with leadership.
