Job summary

Insight, a Fortune 500 Solutions Integrator, seeks a Senior Field Architect to translate business needs into technical solutions across data center and cloud environments. You will lead technical pre-sales support, develop high-level designs, and coordinate SOWs with SMEs, engaging IT and business decision-makers to drive complex opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant program of study, or equivalent documented work experience.
• Ability to dissect complex business and technical challenges and develop Insight proposals addressing client needs from architecture, operations and services perspectives.
• Ability to clearly define and articulate impact of business or IT projects on a Datacenter/cloud environment, including financial models.
• Strong presentation skills, both formal (PowerPoint) and informal (whiteboard).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrate understanding of Insight’s services portfolio and how to leverage those services to address customer challenges.
• Establish relationships with mid- to senior-level customer management (Director, VP).
• Lead internal matrix teams to solve complex customer problems.
• Understand industry trends, including vertical-focused trends, and represent Insight at industry events.
• Experience with data center technologies and major public cloud offerings; ability to produce high-level designs across practices.

Responsibilities

• Owns overall technical relationship with assigned opportunities.
• Owns development of proposals that address complex opportunities with input from Insight architects and SMEs.
• Identifies customer business and technical requirements for all opportunities.
• Participates in internal sales meetings as a technical representative.
• Participates in the development of Statements of Work (SOW) with input from architects and SMEs.
• Owns the technical aspect and increases share of wallet in target and strategic accounts.
• Develops high-level designs for solutions with input from SMEs.
• Validates strategy for responding to RFPs and coordinates responses.
• Obtains and maintains required vendor certifications.
• Reports weekly on time spent in pre-sales, billable activities and initiatives.
• Tracks opportunities and provides regional leadership with revenue and profit reports.
