Job summary

Computacenter is seeking a Principal Consultant (Fiber Design Engineer) to lead hyperscale fiber infrastructure projects, provide expert guidance, and manage client engagements from scoping to deployment in data centers.

You will review designs, ensure standards compliance (BICSI, TIA, ISO/IEC), develop test plans, and mentor project teams while delivering high-quality fiber solutions for demanding environments.

Qualifications

• BICSI RCDD certification required.
• Hands-on fiber infrastructure experience in hyperscale data centers.
• Experience leading large-scale fiber projects.
• Ability to interpret data center drawings and fiber matrices.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead fiber design reviews and client engagements.
• Develop SOWs, proposals, and project plans.
• Ensure compliance with standards (BICSI, TIA, ISO/IEC).
• Provide technical guidance to project teams.
• Identify risks and mitigation plans.
