Job summary

Computacenter is seeking a Principal Consultant to lead hyperscale fiber infrastructure engagements, including design, deployment, testing, and remediation. This senior role combines technical depth with strong client-facing leadership across large-scale data centers.

Required are five years of hands-on fiber experience and a BICSI RCDD certification, with expertise in high-density fiber, MPO/MTP, and OTDR-based testing. Remote US work is available with multiple regional hubs across the country.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years supporting fiber infrastructure in hyperscale data centers.
• BICSI RCDD certification is required.
• Experience with high-density fiber design, testing, commissioning, and documentation.
• Ability to lead root-cause analysis across complex fiber environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead fiber infrastructure design, deployment, testing, and remediation activities.
• Provide technical guidance for MPO/MTP, LC connectivity, and loss budgets.
• Collaborate with clients to define scope, timelines, and budgets.
• Review drawings, BOMs, port maps, and test documentation for accuracy.
• Coach project engineers and technicians on fiber installation and testing.
