Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Senior Proposal Manager for the Enterprise Proposal Center to lead and manage compliant, competitive proposals in response to government solicitations. This includes orchestrating the process from inception to delivery, coordinating cross-functional teams, and maintaining high-quality proposal content under tight deadlines.

The role requires US citizenship, ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance, and willingness to travel up to 10% for on-site meetings.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex proposals for federal government agencies.
• Understanding of federal procurement processes and regulations including FAR and DFARS.
• Ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% for active proposals.
• US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the proposal development process from kickoff to final delivery, ensuring milestones are met.
• Collaborate with capture managers, technical experts, SMEs, pricing, partners and compliance officers.
• Develop schedules, outlines, compliance matrices, and mock-ups.
• Ensure proposals comply with RFP requirements and submission guidelines.
• Manage Pink Team and Red Team reviews and integrate feedback promptly.
• Oversee production and on-time submission of final documents.
• Monitor status, risks, and issues; communicate with senior management.
• Mentor and train junior proposal staff for professional development.
• Stay current with industry best practices and pursue new business opportunities.
