Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Senior Proposal Manager to lead and manage large-scale government proposals from inception to delivery in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment. You will coordinate cross-functional teams including capture managers, technical SMEs, pricing, and compliance, ensuring full RFP compliance and timely submissions.

The role requires a proven track record with federal bids, strong leadership and communication skills, and eligibility to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of relevant experience with Bachelor's degree or 8+ years with Master's.
• Experience managing large-scale, complex proposals for federal agencies.
• Strong understanding of FAR/DFARS procurement processes.
• Ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance.
• Travel up to 10% for on-site meetings.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the proposal development process from kickoff to submission.
• Collaborate with capture managers, SMEs, pricing, partners, and compliance.
• Develop proposal schedules, outlines, and compliance matrices.
• Ensure proposals comply with RFP requirements and guidelines.
• Oversee Pink Team and Red Team review processes.
• Oversee production and on-time delivery of final proposals.
• Monitor status, issues, and risks to senior management.
• Conduct post-submission debriefings and lessons learned.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and competitive intelligence.
• Engage in networking to pursue new business opportunities.
