Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of Federal Human Resources experience performing position classification work.
• Experience classifying engineering positions and applying Federal standards and guidelines.
• Ability to develop, review, and evaluate position descriptions; conduct job analyses and desk audits.
• Strong written analytical and technical documentation skills; ability to withstand audit/review.
• Must be able to satisfy Government suitability/background requirements and maintain PII confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Classify Federal positions from entry through senior levels across multiple occupations.
• Review and update position descriptions; draft new descriptions with managers and SMEs.
• Conduct comprehensive job analyses and apply factor-level evaluation methodology.
• Provide technical guidance on classification requirements to HR staff and management.
• Review vacancy announcements for accuracy and legal sufficiency; support reorganizations.
