Job summary

ICON is seeking an entrepreneurial, high-impact Business Development lead to generate, shape, and close complex government opportunities across MilCon, MilTech, and SpaceTech. You will navigate the federal landscape from FAR/DFARS to OTA authorities and build relationships with Pentagon, NASA, and defense programs.

You will work with cross-functional teams, operate with autonomy, and report to the Senior Director of Prime BD & Government Affairs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of government business development or federal advisory with a track record of closing competitive federal contracts.
• Deep fluency in Federal Procurement: FAR/DFARS, OTA authority, DIU/AFWERX pathways, SBIR/STTR.
• Proven ability to engage senior DoD, IC, and NASA stakeholders at high levels.
• Ability to manage multiple pursuits across construction, software/tech, and space domains.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with self-direction and rapid execution.

Responsibilities

• Drive the full BD lifecycle across MilCon, MilTech, and SpaceTech, including teams, pricing, and proposals.
• Build and maintain a high-quality federal pipeline with early stakeholder engagement.
• Cultivate relationships across Army, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, NASA and DIU/DIU/DSI partners.
• Pursue design-build, OTA, and IDIQ opportunities spanning construction, software, and space sectors.
• Develop compelling briefings and capabilities narratives for senior leadership and industry forums.
• Collaborate with Design-Build, Print Operations, R&D, and Regulatory Affairs to ensure executable commitments.
