Job summary

ICON Prime is seeking an entrepreneurial, high-impact Sr. Associate Business Development Director I to expand its defense portfolio across MILCON and MilTech.

This role offers significant autonomy to generate, shape, and close complex government opportunities from the Pentagon to service components. Based in Washington, DC, with up to 30% travel, you will collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Regulatory teams to ensure BD commitments are technically grounded and executable while aligning

Qualifications

• 7+ years of business development or capture management in DoD/MILCON environments.
• Experience closing competitive federal contracts.
• Strong understanding of FAR/DFARS, OTAs, IDIQs and related processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with government stakeholders.
• Ability to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a BD strategy to expand ICON Prime's DoD presence.
• Build and maintain a federal pipeline and engage program offices early.
• Lead end-to-end capture from qualification to contract negotiation.
• Pursue design-build, OTA, and IDIQ opportunities.
• Create briefings, capability narratives for senior officials.
• Maintain pipeline in HubSpot and support team growth.
