Job summary

Appian is seeking a Senior Advisory Solutions Consultant to serve as a trusted advisor for federal agencies and partners. The role focuses on architecting cloud solutions, leading executive workshops, and delivering strategic technical guidance in a remote field role with up to 50% travel.

You will own account strategy, co-sell with Account Executives, and influence the product roadmap while mentoring peers and developing reusable assets for scalable impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, IT, or related field.
• 8+ years in Pre-Sales or 10+ years in client-facing professional services/technical consulting in enterprise sales scenarios.
• Hands-on programming experience in Java, JavaScript, Python, C#, or C++ with SQL knowledge.
• Exceptional communication and influencing skills with experience presenting to executives and C-level audiences.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% to customer locations.

Responsibilities

• Own Account Strategy for strategic accounts and complex campaigns, co-sell with Account Executives.
• Lead customer roadmap sessions, transformation workshops, and executive visioning discussions.
• Architect and deliver high-quality, custom POCs/POVs with executive sponsorship.
• Understand IT landscapes (ERP, CRM, data, AI, web/enterprise systems) to integrate Appian.
• Direct technical response to RFIs/RFPs, security reviews, and architecture discussions.
• Influence Product Roadmap with feedback from customers to Product Management.
• Coach peers, lead enablement sessions, and create reusable assets and success stories.
