Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Mid-Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE II) to own ambiguous problems, drive them to working solutions across Foundry and custom development, with minimal direction. You’ll lead technically, mentor junior FDEs, and balance multiple projects while maintaining delivery quality.

This hybrid role in the United States involves collaboration with clients and internal teams to pull in or protect program schedules, reduce costs, and increase certainty.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience
• Hands-on Palantir Foundry and AIP experience
• Strong software development in JavaScript frontend (React) and Python
• Experience integrating AI/LLMs into production
• Ability to operate with ambiguity
• Comfort leading other engineers informally

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end solutions across Foundry-based and custom software with minimal direction
• Lead technically on projects and mentor junior engineers
• Support multiple projects simultaneously and manage context-switching
• Move fast in ambiguous environments while maintaining quality
• Originate reusable patterns, frameworks, and standards for the DPS portfolio
• Debug, support deployed solutions, and respond to client feedback
• Engage with client stakeholders on scope, feasibility, and trade-offs
• Collaborate cross-functionally with project managers, data scientists, and SMEs
