Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE I) to build alongside experienced FDEs, Implementation Leads, and Architects. You will work across Foundry-based and custom software features for multiple projects, with guidance when requirements are unclear.

This is an early-career role designed to build broad experience with strong client-facing exposure. The position is hybrid in the United States, open to entry level through Associate, with a base salary range of $80,000 to $110,000 and

Qualifications

• 0-5 years of relevant experience and eagerness to build range across stacks
• Foundational Palantir Foundry experience or ramp-up ability; AIP/OSDK exposure a plus
• Software development experience with a modern JS frontend (React) and/or Python
• Comfort working across multiple projects with shifting priorities
• Fast-paced, client-facing mindset

Responsibilities

• Build, Forward Deployed - Work embedded with client and project teams to build and configure Foundry-based and custom software features in response to defined requirements
• Execute Well-Defined Work - Turn direction into working code, Ontology objects, pipelines, or integrations
• Support Multiple Projects - Manage workload across more than one project
• Ask for Direction - Seek guidance when ambiguity or unfamiliar territory arises
• Follow Portfolio Standards - Build to patterns and standards set by senior FDEs and architects
• Debug & Support - Troubleshoot and support features you built
• Build Range - Grow skills across Palantir Foundry and custom development
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally - Work with PMs, other developers, and SMEs, present in client sessions
