Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer at the FDE I level to build with experienced teams across Foundry and custom applications.

You will work on multiple active projects, moving across domains with guidance as needed, and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment. The role emphasizes foundational technical skills, curiosity across Foundry and custom development, and collaboration with project managers and other developers in client sessions.

Qualifications

• 0–5 years of relevant experience.
• Foundry (Ontology, pipelines) experience or ability to ramp up quickly.
• Comfort working across multiple projects with team support.
• Fast-paced, client-facing mindset.

Responsibilities

• Build and configure Foundry-based and custom software features per defined requirements.
• Translate directions into working code, Ontology objects, pipelines, or integrations.
• Support multiple projects and switch context between codebases.
• Seek guidance when requirements are unclear or territory is unfamiliar.
• Follow established portfolio standards and patterns set by senior staff.
• Troubleshoot, respond to feedback, and support existing applications.
• Develop skills across Palantir Foundry and custom development with mentorship.
• Collaborate with project managers and developers in client sessions.
