Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Mid-Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE II) to own complex problems from rough client statements to working solutions, across Foundry and custom development. You will lead technically on projects, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate across multiple projects while adapting to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Hybrid work in the U.S. supports collaboration across teams and clients.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience and technical ownership.
• Hands-on with Palantir Foundry and AIP stack.
• Strong frontend (React) and Python development.
• Experience building AI/LLM-enabled features in production.
• Ability to operate with ambiguity and drive outcomes.
• Comfort leading engineers informally and setting direction.

Responsibilities

• Own Solutions End-to-End from rough problem to working solution.
• Lead technically on projects and unblock junior engineers.
• Support multiple projects and manage cross-domain context switching.
• Move quickly in ambiguous environments while preserving quality.
• Originate reusable portfolio patterns, frameworks, and standards.
• Debug, support, and improve deployed solutions.
• Deliver on program outcomes, protecting schedule and cost.
• Lead client conversations on scope and trade-offs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Jacobs teams and clients.
