Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE I) to join cross-functional teams and implement Foundry-based and custom software features. You will move between domains and projects with guidance, building real range early in your career while aligning with portfolio standards.

You will collaborate with project managers, developers, and SMEs, delivering defined requirements and supporting multiple projects across North America in a hybrid US-based role.

Qualifications

• 0–5 years of relevant experience across multiple stacks.
• Foundational experience with Palantir Foundry (Ontology, pipelines, applications).
• Software development with React and/or Python.
• Comfortable working across multiple projects with team support.
• Ability to ask clarifying questions when requirements are unclear.

Responsibilities

• Build and configure Foundry-based and custom software features from defined requirements.
• Turn direction from senior architects into working code, pipelines, or integrations.
• Carry workload across more than one project, balancing priorities.
• Seek guidance when facing ambiguity rather than guessing.
• Follow portfolio standards to fit into the DPS framework.
• Troubleshoot and support existing applications alongside new work.
• Grow skills across Palantir Foundry and custom development.
• Collaborate with project managers, developers, and SMEs in client sessions.
