Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Mid-Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE II) to own ambiguous problems, drive them to working solutions across Foundry and custom development, and provide technical direction to junior engineers.

The role is hybrid in the United States with travel to client sites, and offers accountability for quality across feature areas and the broader program. Strong AI/LLM integration is valued.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience in engineering roles.
• Hands-on with Palantir Foundry and AIP including ontology, pipelines, applications, OSDK.

Responsibilities

• Own solutions end-to-end from rough problem to working solution across Foundry and custom software.
• Lead technically on projects and mentor junior FDEs.
• Handle multiple projects and prioritize across domains without sacrificing quality.
• Move in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and adapt without losing output quality.
• Develop reusable portfolio patterns and standards to strengthen the DPS portfolio.
• Debug, support deployed solutions, and respond to client feedback.
• Engage with client stakeholders on scope, feasibility, and trade-offs.
