Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to lead a facilities team and ensure a safe, well‑maintained store environment for customers and employees. You will support the Facility Manager, mentor technicians, and manage routine and preventive maintenance across multiple Nordstrom locations.

The role emphasizes HVAC, building systems, and equipment reliability, with daily coordination of parts, vendor relations, and safety adherence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associates or higher preferred.
• 5–7 years hands-on facilities experience with mechanical maintenance.
• 5+ years predictive and preventative maintenance experience.
• 5+ years experience HVAC, refrigeration, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic input/output functions and low voltage signaling.
• Strong communication across organizational levels and teams.
• Experience with CMMS and purchasing systems.
• Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and on-call as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform maintenance on critical and non-critical equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to Store Operations.
• Operate and monitor building controls and systems.
• Mentor and develop junior technicians.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors and FM; attend meetings.
• Maintain CMMS records and parts inventory; document activities clearly.
