Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to lead a facilities team in keeping store environments safe and well maintained across multiple Nordstrom stores.

You will execute preventive maintenance, troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems, and mentor junior technicians while coordinating with vendors and the Facilities FM. This role requires flexibility to cover varied shifts and emergency responses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; associates preferred.
• 5-7 years facilities experience with emphasis in mechanical maintenance.
• 5+ years of predictive and preventive maintenance experience.
• HVAC, refrigeration, carpentry, plumbing, electrical and mechanical repairs.
• Troubleshoot low voltage signals and basic I/O.
• Must communicate effectively with all organizational levels.
• Proficient with CMMS and Coupa systems.
• Experience with computers/networking and project management a plus.
• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform preventive maintenance on critical and non-critical equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to store operations.
• Operate and monitor building controls and systems; EMCS alarms.
• Lead rounds, identify malfunctions, document outcomes, mentor others.
• Assist with vendor management, parts ordering and meetings.
• Ensure safety; follow LOTO, PPE, and ergonomics requirements.
