Job summary

CBRE, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Manager to lead a large portfolio of locations, primarily onsite in Chicago. You’ll partner with clients, landlords, and vendors to maintain safe, efficient facilities while delivering exceptional service and optimizing costs.

In this visible role, you’ll oversee maintenance programs, capital projects, budgets, and compliance across multiple sites, travel to key locations, and mentor teams to uphold CBRE's standards and a superior employee/client experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing commercial facilities and operations.
• Experience with CMMS for work orders, maintenance, assets, reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; certification preferred (FMP/CFM).
• Experience managing operating/capital budgets and financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Travel ~25% to support facilities operations and stakeholder engagement.
• Oversee maintenance, repairs, and projects by vendors and contractors.
• Build client relationships and lead discussions on facility matters.
• Plan and manage capital and operating projects from initiation to completion.
• Develop and monitor operating and capital budgets and identify cost optimizations.
• Conduct routine facility inspections for compliance and efficiency.
• Oversee EHS programs to promote a safe workplace.
• Manage vendor contracts and invoicing processes.
• Provide training on operations, safety, and best practices.
• Lead by example following CBRE's RISE values.
