Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain the physical conditions of our residential properties. You will diagnose defects, perform repairs, and ensure safety, cleanliness, and functionality across buildings, grounds, and amenities.

The role covers making-ready tasks for vacant homes, inventory management, documentation of work orders, and collaboration with vendors and maintenance staff. A valid driver’s license and EPA refrigerant certifications are required.

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant recycling certifications (Type 1 and II or Universal) required.
• State and Local jurisdiction certifications as required.
• Valid driver's license to operate golf cart on property, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance following safety standards and code requirements.
• Performs the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including inspections and punch lists.
• Follows procedures to access materials, tracks inventory, and notifies supervisors about re-ordering needs.
• Completes documentation accurately to log service requests and work performed.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities and assists with painting and general cleaning as needed.
• Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing components when feasible.

Education

EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling

Valid driver’s license

State and Local certifications as required
