Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the physical aspects of properties meet our standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will diagnose and repair issues, perform preventative maintenance, and support make-ready processes for vacant units.

Responsibilities include maintaining grounds and common areas, documenting work, and aiding in cost-control by efficient material use. EPA refrigerant certifications and a valid driver’s license are required, with OSHA safety

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1 and II or Universal refrigerant certifications.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart.
• State and local certifications as required for service technicians.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned service work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per policy and code.
• Completes the “make-ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and ensuring timely turnover.
• Tracks inventory, materials, and tools; returns unused items and notifies supervisor about re-order needs.
• Documents work performed in a timely and accurate manner to support service request records.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, pressure-washing, painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Supports cost-control by replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.
