Job summary

Greystar seeks a maintenance technician to ensure building systems and common areas meet high standards of safety, cleanliness, and functionality.

The role handles work orders, makes-ready preparations for vacancies, and coordinates with vendors while adhering to budgets and safety rules. EPA HVAC certifications are required, and candidates should have strong customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and related maintenance experience.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Knowledge of safe use of hand tools, power tools and measuring devices.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively with residents and staff.
• EPA Type I & II or Universal certifications if working on HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair building defects and routine maintenance.
• Manage make-ready process for vacancy readiness and vendor coordination.
• Develop standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds and facilities.
• Inspect work by others and contractors for quality and compliance.
• Assist Community Manager with budget and cost-control measures.
