Job summary

Greystar is seeking a maintenance technician to ensure physical aspects of properties meet safety, cleanliness, and functionality standards. Responsibilities include completing work orders, making-ready units, managing inventory, and maintaining grounds and common areas across properties.

The role requires a high school diploma, 3+ years in maintenance, and HVAC or EPA certifications is a plus. The position emphasizes safety, documentation, and collaboration with vendors and management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and/or training.
• 3 years minimum experience in property maintenance or related trades.
• May hold HVAC certifications and licenses.
• Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with residents and team members.
• Proactive, self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders and preventative maintenance by diagnosing issues and making repairs per policy and safety standards.
• Manages make-ready process for vacant units, including inspections, punch list creation, scheduling and coordinating vendors.
• Tracks materials and inventories, returns unused items, and notifies supervisor for re-orders.
• Completes documentation for service requests to ensure accurate records.
• Maintains grounds and common areas, performs cleaning and painting as needed.
• Supports cost-control by repairing parts when possible and using materials efficiently.
