Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee and perform technical and mechanical tasks ensuring buildings, grounds, and common areas meet Greystar standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

Responsibilities include handling work orders, making units ready for leasing, and inspecting contractor work to maintain high quality and cost efficiency while adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related field preferred.
• Provide own hand tools unless prohibited by state law.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively for internal and external contacts.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient with basic computer activities and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance work orders and diagnose faults.
• Perform make-ready tasks to prepare vacant units for leasing.
• Set standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exteriors, and common areas.
• Inspect work by team members and contractors for quality and safety.
• Maintain inventory of parts and tools and assist with budgeting for repairs.
