Job summary

CrowdStrike is hiring a highly technical security researcher for the Intelligence TAC team. You will analyze in-the-wild exploits, reverse‑engineer malware, and develop automation to support adversary tracking and mitigation.

Remote-friendly role with strong collaboration across CrowdStrike Intelligence. We expect MA/MS in CS or equivalent, deep experience in exploit analysis, Python, and the use of AI-assisted tools to accelerate research and reporting.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in exploitation techniques for userspace and kernel vulnerabilities.
• Knowledge of common network service exploitation techniques.
• Strong OS knowledge including Windows.
• Familiarity with web-based exploitation vectors.
• Collaborative team player with ability to enable others.
• Deep knowledge of reverse engineering tools and processes.
• Programming/scripting in Python.
• Ability to use AI-assisted tools to accelerate vulnerability research.
• Proven experience using AI for decision-making and workflow efficiency.
• Ability to convey complex concepts clearly in writing and visuals.
• Excellent writing skills are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Implement tracking systems for cross-team adversary tracking based on exploitation behavior.
• Improve and maintain detection of exploits, payloads, and attack vectors.
• Identify opportunities to increase visibility of threats using new data sources.
• Reverse engineer exploits to understand inner workings.
• Develop tools to automate exploit analysis tasks.
• Create a classification framework for intrusion activity based on exploits.
• Contribute to active mitigation with technical expertise.
• Develop host-based and network-based signatures for large-scale hunting and prevention.
• Produce high-quality threat intelligence reports with actionable guidance.
• Brief diverse audiences and collaborate across teams.
