Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a security researcher to analyze in-the-wild exploits and develop detection and mitigation strategies within the TAC. You will apply reverse engineering, write technical reports, and build automation to track vulnerability activity across Windows and other platforms.

Remote role with occasional travel. You will need strong writing, Python skills, and the ability to communicate complex results to diverse audiences; experience with AI-assisted tools to speed vulnerability

Qualifications

• Proficiency in exploitation techniques commonly seen in userspace and kernel vulnerabilities.
• Knowledge of common network service exploitation techniques.
• Solid understanding of at least two operating system platforms, including Windows.
• Familiarity with standard web-based exploitation vectors.
• Collaborative mindset, strong team player who enables others.
• Pro profound knowledge of reverse engineering tools and processes.
• Ability to leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate vulnerability research and exploitation analysis.
• Excellent writing skills are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Implement tracking systems informing cross-team adversary tracking based on exploitation behavior.
• Improve and maintain capabilities for detecting exploits and malicious payloads.
• Identify opportunities to increase visibility of threats and exploits.
• Maintain a detailed understanding of exploits through reverse engineering.
• Develop tools to automate exploit analysis and extend analysis frameworks.
• Create a classification framework for intrusion activity based on vulnerabilities used.
• Contribute to active mitigation with technical expertise.
• Develop host-based and network-based signatures for large-scale hunting and prevention.
