Job summary

CrowdStrike, a global leader in cybersecurity, is seeking a motivated security researcher for the Technical Analysis Cell (TAC) to study exploitation techniques observed in the wild.

You will develop automation, write high-quality threat intel, and collaborate across teams to improve exploit detection and mitigation. Remote role with occasional travel; MA/MS or equivalent in CS preferred.

Strong reverse engineering, Python, and AI-assisted tooling required; excellent writing skills a must.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in exploitation techniques for userspace and kernel vulnerabilities.
• Knowledge of common network service exploitation techniques.
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Windows and at least one other OS.
• Familiarity with standard web-based exploitation vectors.
• Collaborative mindset and strong teamwork.
• Proficient in reverse engineering tools and processes.
• Programming/scripting in Python.
• Ability to leverage AI tools to accelerate vulnerability research.
• Experience using AI to enhance decision-making and workflows.
• Clear ability to express complex technical concepts in writing.
• Excellent writing skills are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Implement tracking systems for cross-team adversary tracking based on observed exploitation behavior.
• Improve and maintain capabilities for detecting exploits and payloads.
• Develop host- and network-based signatures for large-scale hunting and prevention.
• Create a classification framework for intrusion activity based on vulnerabilities used.
• Produce high-quality threat intelligence reporting for diverse audiences.
• Brief customers and coordinate with teams across CrowdStrike Intelligence.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to inform mitigation strategies and products.
