Job summary

Amex GBT is seeking a Senior Event Manager in the United States to plan and deliver multiday executive programs for a dedicated Experience Studio team. You will lead the program with a producer, manage budgets over $1 million, and supervise onsite teams of ten or more.

The role requires seven+ years in corporate meetings, strong Cvent skills, and experience with hotels, venues, and destination partners. You will mentor junior planners and ensure meticulous planning from kickoff to post-event

Qualifications

• Seven or more years planning corporate meetings, events, and incentives.
• Budget above $1 million with forecasts and clean reconciliations.
• Multiday executive programs for audiences 500+ with onsite teams of ten+.
• Experience as planning lead beside a producer or senior client event owner.
• Strong hotel and supplier contract skills: attrition, cancellation, F&B minimums.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver complex programs from kickoff through onsite execution and close.
• Lead planning with the producer and assess cost/time implications of requests.
• Build and manage program budgets from initial estimate through reconciliation.
• Create and maintain the detailed planning calendar and track dates in client tools.
• Manage suppliers from contracts to final invoices according to client procurement rules.
• Coordinate registration and housing in the client's Cvent instance and verify data.
• Run onsite logistics with teams during travel and extended weeks.
• Mentor Event Managers and provide feedback on plans and budgets.
• Maintain complete planning files and notes for seamless handover.
• Raise risks with a recommended action to the producer and Studio Operations Manager.
