Job summary

Amex GBT is seeking a Senior Event Producer to lead assigned programs for a dedicated Experience Studio team built around one enterprise client. You will own the plan, budget, and production for each program, serving as the daily contact for stakeholders.

The role requires eight+ years in corporate events, strong budgeting and Cvent expertise, and an ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder programs with executive presence.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years producing corporate meetings and events.
• Experience on a dedicated account team under a client statement of work, or inside a corporate events department.
• A portfolio that includes multi-day executive programs, audiences of 500 or more, and program budgets above $1 million.
• Production fluency: brief and direct staging, audiovisual, and content partners, read a production schedule, and make the call when the show and the budget pull apart.
• Budget ownership with a track record of accurate forecasts, clean reconciliations, and change control the client accepts.
• Strong command of Cvent and enterprise project and collaboration tools, and comfort working inside a client owned environment.
• Executive presence: run planning meetings with senior stakeholders and deliver hard updates.
• Ability to lead a program team you do not manage, setting clear expectations and giving direct feedback on the work.
• Detailed written communication: status reports, decision logs, and client updates that hold up over time.
• CMP or CMM preferred; experience running concurrent programs at different stages, and time at a production company, hotel, or destination management company.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned programs as the producer of record from brief to close.
• Collaborate with the client's own producers on flagship programs and deliver to the same standard.
• Serve as the daily contact for stakeholders, manage planning cadences, status reports, and decision requests.
• Direct creative and production: brief and review partners, ensure brand standards, and own the run of show.
• Own each program's budget from initial estimate through final reconciliation, including forecasts and supplier commitments.
• Direct the event managers and attendee experience coordinators, while the Studio Operations Manager handles the team.
• Maintain a master timeline, milestone tracking, and a decision log for each program.
• Work with the sourcing team on venue and supplier selection, and ensure contracts are met onsite.
• Lead onsite delivery with staffing plans, pre-meetings, leadership huddles, and escalation as needed.
• Partner with the Studio Operations Manager on staffing, scope, and risk, flagging scope creep and gaps.
