Job summary

Amex GBT in the United States seeks a Senior Event Manager to lead complex programs for a dedicated Experience Studio team serving a single enterprise client. You will manage multiday executive events with 500+ attendees and budgets above $1M, partnering with a producer to own strategy, content, and final approvals.

You will steer planning, budgets, and vendor management, overseeing onsite logistics, registrations, and VIP movements while coaching junior planners and ensuring high-quality

Qualifications

• Seven or more years planning corporate meetings, events, and incentives.
• Budgets above $1 million with accurate forecasts and reconciliations.
• Portfolio includes multiday executive programs for 500+ attendees.
• Experience as planning lead beside a producer or senior client event owner.
• Strong hotel and supplier contract skills and compliance with signed terms.
• Proficient with Cvent and enterprise project tools in client environments.
• Ability to manage multiple programs at different stages and communicate risks.
• CMP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver complex programs from kickoff to onsite execution for large enterprise clients.
• Lead planning beside the producer, signaling cost/time implications early.
• Build and manage program budgets from initial estimate to final reconciliation.
• Create and maintain detailed planning calendars and ensure team adherence.
• Coordinate with hotels, venues, transport, catering, and destination partners.
• Collaborate with Attendee Experience on registration and communications in Cvent.
• Oversee onsite logistics, staff, room setups, F&B, transport, and VIP movements.
• Mentor Event Managers and provide feedback to improve upcoming programs.
• Document plans and decisions to ensure smooth handoffs and post-program reviews.
• Raise scope, budget, and resource risks with recommendations for mitigation.
