Job summary

Amex GBT is seeking a Senior Event Producer to lead high-impact programs within the Experience Studio. You will own plans, budgets, and production for each assigned program, and serve as the main contact for stakeholders.

You will partner with client teams to ensure top-tier events that align with brand standards and goals. The role requires 8+ years in corporate event production, a lead-producer track record, and strong budget forecasting skills.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years producing corporate meetings and events, with at least three years as lead producer on programs you ran from brief to close.
• Experience on a dedicated account team under a client statement of work, or inside a corporate events department.
• A portfolio that includes multi-day executive programs, audiences of 500 or more, and program budgets above $1 million.
• Production fluency: brief and direct staging, audiovisual, and content partners, read a production schedule, and make the call when the show and the budget pull apart.
• Budget ownership with a track record of accurate forecasts, clean reconciliations, and change control the client accepts.
• Strong command of enterprise project and collaboration tools, and comfort working inside a client owned environment.
• Executive presence: run planning meetings with senior stakeholders, deliver hard updates, and present recommendations under pressure.
• Ability to lead a program team you do not manage, with clear expectations and direct feedback.
• Detailed written communication in status reports, decision logs, and client updates.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned programs as the producer of record from brief to close.
• Collaborate with the client’s producers on flagship programs and maintain the same high standard.
• Serve as daily contact for stakeholders with planning cadences, status reporting, and decisions.
• Direct creative and production for programs: brief partners, review against brand standards, own the run of show.
• Own budgets from initial estimate through reconciliation, forecasting, and supplier commitments.
• Direct event managers and attendee coordinators, with the Studio Operations Manager overseeing the team.
• Maintain master timelines, milestones, and decision logs in client project tools.
• Coordinate with sourcing on venues and production partners, ensuring contract compliance onsite.
• Lead onsite delivery: staffing, pre-con meetings, leadership huddles, and escalations.
• Partner with Studio Operations Manager on staffing, scope, risk, and early scope creep detection.
