Job summary

The Downtown Partnership of Baltimore is seeking a Senior Events & Programming Specialist to lead planning and execution of high‑impact events in downtown Baltimore. You will oversee event logistics, manage budgets, and drive engagement with partners and residents, collaborating with the marketing team and cross‑functional staff.

This full‑time role requires at least 3 years in event management, strong organizational skills, and comfort with CRM systems like Salesforce.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in event management or related field.
• Experience with CRM systems and Salesforce preferred.
• Experience with non-profits, events, retail, or urban placemaking a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging pitches, presentations, ROIs for wrap-up and other event pieces.
• Develop and coordinate annual event schedule/calendar mapping including dates and promotions.
• Maintain permits, contracts, vendors, and contractor paperwork.
• Develop and maintain clear logistics plans with timelines, signage, and run-of-show instructions.
• Assist in development and management of event budgets and vendor negotiations to ensure fiscal responsibility.
• Oversee procurement of branded merchandise for events and initiatives.
• Lead inventory tracking for events and marketing objectives.
• Manage event registration platforms and attendee communications.
• Support membership recruitment, retention, and recognition initiatives.
• Assist with volunteer management for events and programming.
