Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT) is seeking a seasoned Team Leader to run a multi-program events portfolio for large corporate meetings in the United States. You will lead Sr Meeting Managers, Meeting Managers, and coordinators, owning planning, budgeting, and delivery from kickoff through onsite execution.

You will serve as the client’s primary delivery contact, manage master timelines in Smartsheet, and ensure data integrity in Cvent.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years delivering large corporate meetings and events, with at least three years leading a team.
• Experience on a dedicated account team under a client SOW, ideally as lead.
• Ownership of multimillion-dollar program budgets and accurate forecasts.
• Experience delivering large conferences with thousands of attendees on a multi-program calendar.
• Advanced Cvent proficiency including event builds, reporting, and integrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the account program team, matching assignments to coverage across the calendar.
• Own delivery from kickoff to onsite execution, including flagship annual conference.
• Serve as client’s primary delivery contact with status reporting and decisions.
• Own budgets from estimate to final reconciliation, including forecasts and savings.
• Manage master timeline in Smartsheet and ensure on-time delivery.
• Oversee registration, housing, and attendee communications in Cvent; ensure data privacy.
• Lead supplier and venue management from sourcing through contract and onsite performance.
• Direct onsite delivery with staffing, run of show, and issue escalation.
• Maintain program documentation for renewal demonstrations.
• Collaborate with Head of Event Operations on scope, staffing, and change management.
