FIRST is a leading global brand experience agency seeking a Team Lead, Event Technology. You will oversee technology solutions for client events, lead a team of event tech professionals, and drive best-in-class delivery across virtual, hybrid, and in-person formats.

The role requires 8-10 years’ experience in data management and event technology, expert Cvent knowledge, and strong leadership. Travel up to 40% is expected, with onsite NY-based events.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years’ related experience in Data Management and Event Technology.
• Leadership/management experience preferred.
• Expert knowledge of Cvent is required.
• Strong data management and reporting skills, advanced Excel knowledge.
• Proficiency with platforms such as Cvent, Aventri, Certain, Aventri, Swoogo, RainFocus, Eventbrite, SpotMe.
• Experience with on-demand badge printing, RFID, session scanning and lead generation.
• Proficient programming skills such as HTML, CSS and/or JavaScript.
• Flexible and willing to travel up to 40% for events.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior escalation point for clients, internal teams, and direct reports across pre-event, onsite, and post-event delivery.
• Consult with clients and internal stakeholders on Event Technology strategy, platform recommendations, and delivery for virtual, hybrid, and in-person events.
• Oversee planning, build, testing, implementation, and delivery of event registration websites, apps, onsite registration solutions, reporting tools, surveys, and related platforms.
• Provide hands-on delivery support including builds, database management, communications, reporting, badge/print production, and onsite execution.
• Advise and support team members through complex builds and onsite delivery needs.
• Establish and enforce Event Technology best practices, SOPs, and compliance standards.
• Review solutions to ensure they meet client objectives, data needs, and attendee experience.
• Manage technology supplier relationships and vendor support.
• Monitor emerging event technologies and share insights with team and clients.
• Provide management oversight for troubleshooting and risk escalation.
• Support hotel room block coordination and attendee management as needed.
• Produce and review reporting, analytics, surveys, and post-event insights.
• Mentor and develop direct reports (up to 12), manage workload and priorities.
• Coordinate team coverage and administrative requirements; promote clear communication.
• Identify and manage productivity issues; collaborate with People & Culture on initiatives.
• Lead and motivate the team; ensure value delivery and continuous improvement.
• Encourage staying current on best practices and drive innovative solutions.
