Job summary

Encore Global in Minneapolis seeks a Director, Event Technology II to lead venue technology teams, drive revenue, and ensure world-class service. The role reports to regional leadership and oversees profitable operations across locations, emphasizing quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

You will manage labor, equipment and P&L, collaborate with sales, and coach staff to deliver premier event technology experiences while maintaining client relationships and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of audio-visual experience.
• 2+ years of operations/supervisory experience.
• 3+ years of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.
• Sales experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge of audio-visual equipment in a live show environment.
• Proficiency with the use of computer hardware.
• Proficiency with computer software and programs, including the Internet and Microsoft Office.
• Effective leadership abilities and customer satisfaction focus.
• A valid driver’s license is required for team members who may operate Company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Drive revenue and profitability by managing an efficient operation with cost control.
• Lead scheduling, equipment setup, operation and strikes.
• Ensure on-time delivery and proper functioning per client/venue standards.
• Collaborate with sales to maximize revenue per event and prepare quotes.
• Maintain CRM with accurate customer information and reports.
• Develop and coach team; ensure Encore standards training.
