Job summary

Encore is seeking a Director, Event Technology II to lead venue technology operations in the United States. The role focuses on driving revenue and profitability, managing field teams, coordinating with venue partners, and delivering World-Class service for events in a dynamic hotel/convention setting.

You will oversee scheduling, equipment, and on-site technical leadership, while collaborating with regional management to maximize event outcomes and ensure Encore standards and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of audio-visual experience.
• 2+ years of operations/supervisory experience.
• 3+ years of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.
• Sales experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge of audio-visual equipment in a live show environment.
• Proficiency with computer hardware and software (MS Office).
• Effective leadership abilities and customer satisfaction focus.
• A valid driver’s license may be required for operating company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Drive results by managing a profitable operation with focus on revenue maximization and cost control.
• Oversee location P&L and develop action plans to grow the business.
• Perform daily floor operations scheduling, equipment setups, operation and strikes.
• Prepare quotes/proposals and attend site visits to support client events.
• Maintain relationships with venue personnel and Encore support functions to deliver World-Class service.
• Ensure equipment/services are delivered on time and in good condition per brand standards.
