Job summary

This role leads day-to-day conference management, oversees high-visibility event packages, and coordinates cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in event management, experience planning National Guard/Army Reserve events, and an active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 8 years of experience
• 5+ years event and meeting management
• 5+ years planning National Guard/Army Reserve Federal Conference events
• 5+ years as Assistant Event Manager directing up to six Event Planners across 360 events per quarter
• Experience leading teams and performing quality control for complex, deadline-driven work
• Strong written communication, editing, research, data analysis, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and tracking spreadsheets/briefing materials
• Active Secret Clearance required

Responsibilities

• Lead quality-control reviews of event packets, deliverables, and briefing materials for accuracy and policy compliance
• Review, process and monitor conference submission packets in ETMS2
• Provide senior planning guidance to the Conference Management Chief
• Lead annual conference data calls and required reporting
• Oversee complex packages and Tier 1 events and coordinate with officers and support organizations
• Maintain conference planning SOP and evaluation records of locations and performance
• Coordinate facilities, audiovisual support, security, transportation, lodging, and meeting space
• Serve as alternate Contract Manager and ensure work remains within contract scope
