Job summary

J. Scott Catering seeks an experienced Event Coordinator for its Phoenixville Foundry venue on the Main Line. The role demands planning, managing and executing sold events with a collaborative team approach.

The successful candidate will oversee an Assistant Event Planner, ensuring client expectations are exceeded, seamless logistics, and optimal revenue through upselling across venues and services.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years catering sales/account manager and event planning experience.
• Previous sales and marketing experience required.
• Experience managing team members would be a plus.
• Experience organizing and managing events such as corporate meetings, luncheons, weddings and other special occasions.
• Demonstrated interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Able to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with CaterEase and/or Sales Force a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and maintains exceptional customer service while maximizing sales profitability.
• Ensures a high level of client satisfaction throughout the planning process.
• Finalize all bookings, maximizing revenue by upselling in all revenue producing areas.
• Prepares sales proposals for custom events within pricing parameters.
• Negotiates and contracts with vendors for goods and services related to events planning.
• Overseeing the planning, managing and execution of booked events according to company standards.
• Monitors delivery of goods and services to ensure contract terms are satisfied.
• Coordinates with other departments to ensure quality of guest satisfaction.
