Job summary

Rivian is seeking an experienced automotive technician-style professional to support the creation of technical publications for service manuals and to validate repair procedures. The role emphasizes collaboration across Service Engineering, Field Service, and Technical Publications, with significant travel expectations and a focus on EV powertrains and HV systems.

The candidate should have 5+ years in automotive roles, 4+ years in EVs, and a strong ability to document and improve service

Qualifications

• Requires Automotive Technology/Technician Degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5+ years automotive experience.
• 4+ years EV experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Experience in start-up environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support creation of technical publications for service manuals (systems overview, parts, repair, labor, electrical, etc.).
• Validate repair procedures for accuracy (diagnosis, repair process, labor time, safety).
• Improve efficiency in service procedures without compromising quality and safety.
• Validate all service tooling prior to field implementation.
• Support campaigns and containment initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams and assist with pre-production vehicle builds.
• Provide ad hoc service support to the field to support the Service organization.
• Mentor team members to improve the Service organization.
