Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Sr. Engineering Technician II in Michigan to support the Test & Development Workshop and Engineering Teams. You will diagnose and repair prototype vehicles, maintain test equipment, and collaborate with engineers on testing needs in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 5+ years in automotive technician work, valid driver's license, and strong HV electrical knowledge. Travel up to 50% is expected, with comprehensive benefits for full-time employees.

Qualifications

5+ years of technician/mechanic work experience in the automotive industry.
High voltage electrical knowledge and training.
Strong automotive electrical understanding.
CAN/LIN network understanding.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair prototype vehicle electrical/mechanical/software systems.
Maintain detailed records of all work performed.
Maintain test equipment and perform routine maintenance.
Design, build and modify instrumentation, mounting systems, test equipment and data acquisition systems.
Fabricate/modify prototype components/fixtures.
Document setup, troubleshooting and test results; communicate issues and improvements.
Prepare vehicles for testing and install instrumentation.
Execute vehicle testing and data capture with test engineers.
