Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Sr. Field Service Technician in Michigan to deliver exceptional service at Rivian service locations and beyond.

You will diagnose, repair, install, and inspect Rivian vehicles, sometimes remotely, with a strong focus on customer experience and cross-functional collaboration. Qualifications

• Extensive HV & LV diagnostic work experience.
• 8+ years on high voltage vehicle systems with leadership experience.
• Knowledge of HVIL and high voltage architecture.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Experience in Continuous Improvement Process.
• Experience using diagnostic tools: PICO-Scope, PCAN, Kavaser Memorator, breakout box.
• Bumper-to-bumper diagnosis and repair experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Fluent English reading and speaking.
• Ability to work in start-up environments.

Responsibilities

• Follow Rivian repair procedures to diagnose, repair, install, and inspect vehicles.
• Perform remote repairs when possible with safety first.
• Diagnose issues using schematics and diagrams and provide accurate fixes.
• Provide diagnostic support to Field Service Teams with Rivian systems data.
• Carry out vehicle repairs outside service centers when required.
• Conduct road tests to verify repair quality.
• Manage parts ordering, receiving, shipping, and inventory control.
• Document work thoroughly in Service Support and Engineering systems.
• Stay current with technical training and Rivian campaigns.
• Work in customer-facing settings professionally and collaboratively.
• Train and mentor other technicians as assigned.
• Possibly transition to on-site service center work; travel as needed.
