Job summary

Rivian in Normal, Illinois, is seeking a Sr. Service Lab technician to drive validations of service procedures, time studies, and tool validation.

You will collaborate with service engineering and the technical publications teams to create Rivian's factory service manual and support field operations with training and parts data. You will work across disciplines, participate in confidential and public events, and help improve service efficiency while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to travel 50-75%.
• 4+ years of EV experience.
• CAN/LIN network understanding.

Responsibilities

• Create and write the factory service manual for Rivian.
• Validate repair procedures for accuracy and safety.
• Perform validations and time studies on prototypes and pre-production vehicles.
• Improve efficiency in service procedures without compromising quality.
• Validate service tooling prior to field deployment.
• Collaborate with Service Engineering, Field Service, Technical Publications, and other teams.
