Job summary

Rivian seeks an automotive service specialist to support development and publish service manuals for Rivian EVs in Irvine, California. You will collaborate with Service Engineering, Field Service, and Technical Publications to ensure accurate, safe, and efficient repair procedures.

Qualifications

• Automotive technician degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years automotive experience.
• 4+ years EV experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience in start-up environments.
• Knowledge of EV powertrains and HV systems.
• Knowledge of diagnostic paths and best practices.
• Strong written and communications skills.
• Strong organization skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Create and validate service publications (manuals, procedures).
• Validate repair procedures for accuracy (diagnosis, repair, labor, safety).
• Improve efficiency in service procedures without compromising safety.
• Validate service tooling prior to field use.
• Support campaigns and containment initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
• Assist with pre-production vehicle builds.
