Job summary

Rivian is seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Technician to serve as a technical expert and leader, supporting complex vehicle repairs and field operations. Based primarily at a service center, the role may involve travel to remote locations or production plants to provide advanced field support.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8+ years of automotive repair experience preferred.
• 3 to 8+ years of hands-on HV systems experience.
• Experience in leadership or supervisory roles preferred.
• Background in continuous improvement and escalation management.

Responsibilities

• Advanced Diagnostics & Complex Repairs: bumper-to-bumper diagnostics and repairs in service centers or field settings.
• Technical Support & Remote Troubleshooting: provide high-level diagnostic guidance and remote diagnostics or repairs.
• Leadership & Mentorship: coach, mentor, and train junior technicians and internal partners.
• Advanced Tools & Methodologies: use diagnostic tools to resolve HV and network faults.
• Quality & Process Standardization: conduct road tests and drive standards across repair workflows.
• Parts Operations & Systems: oversee parts operations, ordering, receiving, inventory, and billing.
• Customer & Cross-Functional Engagement: interact with customers, suppliers, and internal teams during escalations.
