Job summary

Rivian is seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Technician to serve as a technical expert and leader for complex vehicle repairs and field operations. While based primarily at a service center, this role may involve remote work, travel to remote locations, or work at production plants to provide advanced field support as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; automotive repair training preferred.
• 5–8+ years automotive repair experience with bumper-to-bumper diagnostics.
• 3–8+ years in high voltage (HV) systems and HV diagnostics.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred; continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics and complex bumper-to-bumper repairs in service centers or field settings.
• Provide high-level remote diagnostics and guidance to field teams using vehicle data and schematics.
• Coach, mentor, and train junior technicians; lead cross-functional problem solving.
• Use specialized diagnostic tools to resolve HV, electrical, and network faults.
• Drive quality verification, standardize processes, and document feedback for engineering.
