Job summary

Rivian is seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Technician to act as a technical expert and leader for complex vehicle repairs and field operations. The role combines service-center work with possible remote, travel, or plant assignments to deliver advanced field support.

The candidate will mentor junior technicians, drive continuous improvement, and tackle challenging diagnostic tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong HV knowledge and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Graduation from automotive repair school or vocational program preferred.
• 5–8+ years automotive repair experience preferred.
• 3–8+ years experience with High Voltage (HV) systems.
• Experience in leadership or supervision roles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform bumper-to-bumper diagnostics and repairs in service centers and in field settings.
• Provide high-level diagnostic guidance and remote troubleshooting as needed.
• Coach and mentor junior technicians and cross-functional partners.
• Use specialized diagnostic tools to resolve complex electrical, HV, and network faults.
• Conduct road tests to verify repair quality and drive continuous improvement.
