Job summary

Rivian in Minnesota seeks an experienced Senior Field Service Technician to lead complex vehicle diagnostics and field support across service centers, mobile routes, or remote sites. The role balances hands-on engineering with leadership, mentoring junior technicians, and driving continuous improvement.

You will use advanced diagnostic tools, collaborate with customers and internal teams, and travel to production and remote locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Graduation from automotive repair school preferred.
• Minimum age 21 and valid driver's license.
• Experience with bumper-to-bumper diagnostics highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform bumper-to-bumper diagnostics, complex repairs, and inspections in service centers and field settings.
• Provide high-level diagnostic guidance and remote troubleshooting when feasible.
• Coach, mentor, and train junior technicians and partners; lead problem-solving.
• Utilize specialized diagnostic tools to resolve electrical, HV, and network faults.
• Oversee parts operations including ordering, receiving, inventory and billing.
• Produce documentation and provide root-cause analysis to engineering teams.
• Engage with customers and internal teams during escalations and mobile events.
